Safe With No Fear Of Harm
S. O. A. P.
Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Proverbs 1:33
But whoever listens to me will live in safety and be at ease, without fear of harm.
O-bservation:
Here, King Solomon is the voice of wisdom speaking, and he said, “If you pay attention to me, I will keep you Safe With No Fear Of Harm!”
A-pplication:
As a youth, I often got in trouble by throwing caution to the wind. That is probably an old term, which simply means that a person is unwilling to go with conventional wisdom. I can tell you this: wisdom waits. Wisdom steps back from a hurried and pressured situation to look at all the angles. You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to make wise decisions. Often you just need to WAIT a minute. Step back, consider all options. If there are only two options, ask yourself which is the lesser of the two evils. I’m saying to break your big decisions down into smaller pieces initially. While all of us want to do something significant in our life, it’s also important that we learn to be “Safe With No Fear Of Harm” in the process. That only comes by way of wisdom. The wise man told us thousands of years ago, if you will listen to me, I will guarantee you will be “Safe With No Fear Of Harm.”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
This AM, I’m asking for renewed wisdom in my life. I want to make wise decisions that keep me free from peril. I know that comes from heeding the voice of wisdom. Amen
