Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
When the foundations are being destroyed, what can the righteous do?
At a time in King David’s life when he felt as though the very foundation of his spiritual existence was being threatened, he asked a question. “What can the righteous do?”
If you read closely, David answered his own question in the context of this chapter. Four ideas are championed in this text. First, David always runs to Jesus in times of trouble (vs. 1). Second, God has everything under control and He’s not worried (vs. 4). Third, the wicked will be judged (vs. 5-6)! Fourth, God is a lover of righteousness and justice, and those who live for Him will see Him one day (vs. 7)! Yes as we look around us it appears that the very foundation of our spiritual history and moorings are being challenged. But if, like David, you’re wondering what you as a righteous follower of Jesus can do, the scripture simply says, “Remember Who’s Really In Charge!”
There is little doubt that we are living in trying times. Like never before in my lifetime the entire world seems to be on edge. Help me this AM to … “Remember Who’s Really In Charge.”
