The Power Of Praying Believers

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Acts 4:31

After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.

O-bservation:

This story occurs after Peter and John had been released by the Sanhedrin (Jewish legal authorities) for preaching the “Good News of Jesus” publicly. Peter and John said it was impossible for them to stop preaching, and they would have to obey God instead of men in this matter. Because they were afraid of the masses, the Sanhedrin released Peter and John. The two disciples quickly went back to their fellow “Followers of Jesus” to report what had happened. They prayed together, and the place shook with the power of God! Then they all preached the Word unashamedly!

A-pplication:

The feeling of power, or the anointing of the Holy Spirit on a Believer’s life, is a result of both individual and corporate prayer. Through prayer, the power of God comes on the Believer. An added sense of heavenly encouragement follows. When a Believer feels this heavenly encouragement, there is a need to go beyond one’s personal borders to proclaim the “Good News of Jesus” to others. Lives are offered to Jesus, money is given to Jesus, and everything feels possible to the Believer. These are the fruits of … “The Power Of Praying Believers!”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

Thank You for my times of worship and intercessory prayer before You. Also, thank You for the times during the week when we get together as a group of Believers in prayer in order to boldly speak “The Good News” to others. Amen
