Please, Open My Eyes Lord!

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

2 Kings 6:16

“Don’t be afraid,” the prophet answered. “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”

O-bservation:

These were the words of Elisha the prophet after he had been told the soldiers of the King of Aram had surrounded the city and were ready to destroy all of them. He spoke these words to his servant, who was shaking with fear, and said, “Don’t be afraid, those who are with us are more than are with them.” Then he asked the Lord to open his servant’s eyes, and when the Lord did the man saw that the hills were layered with angelic forces ready to attack the Aramean armies.

A-pplication:

Whenever either of us become afraid, based on the sheer number of folks that are against us because we follow Jesus, we should say, “Open My Eyes Lord!” The truth is there’s always more on our side than are against us. Why? Because the Word says, “If God be for us who can be against us?” (Rom. 8:31a). In other words, if God alone stands with us, then we are always in the majority. The trick of the enemy is to get us to think that we are outnumbered whenever we face a challenge. It is in those times that we must call upon the Lord and simply say, “Open My Eyes Lord.”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

I’m grateful this AM that You are for me! I’m grateful that no matter how many times the enemy of my soul tries to snuff me out, he can’t because You are greater and You are for me. Amen
