Please NO, God!

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Nahum 2:13a

“I am against you,” declares the Lord Almighty.

O-bservation:

Nahum the prophet was the oracle through whom the God of the universe declared the people of Nineveh to be His enemy. This prophecy was made 150 years after Jonah had predicted God’s judgement in Nineveh if they did not repent. Crazy as it may seem Nineveh did repent, and God gave them another 150 years, the amount of time from the American Civil War until now!

A-pplication:

I recently heard some startling statistics, that are historically sound, that say within a few years we will undeniably face a Third World War. I won’t go into detail here, but it was so historically thorough, founded on details that go back some 5,000 years to predict this futuristic claim, that I immediately prayed, “Please NO, God!” The truth is God wants all men and women everywhere to repent. And if we would just repent before our Maker, perhaps what happened in Nineveh would happen in the world. Namely, more time to reach more people for Jesus. When Jonah preached, the King of Nineveh put on sack cloth and ashes (a sign of humility) and cried out, “Please NO, God!” God answered his prayer. Today, before you head to work, why not pray with me now, “Please NO, GOD!”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

I know we deserve it, but when it comes to more war and more hatred please send a revival instead. Before You bring judgement, I’m begging, “Please NO, GOD!” Amen
