PANIC … Is God’s Secret Weapon

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

1 Samuel 14:15

Then panic struck the whole army—those in the camp and field, and those in the outposts and raiding parties—and the ground shook. It was a panic sent by God.

O-bservation:

This is the riveting story of how Jonathon, King Saul’s son, and his armor-bearer attacked the Philistine army. Just two men. Immediately they killed twenty Philistine soldiers, then PANIC set in. The Philistines actually turned on each other and killed one another. The Israelites won the battle. On that day, it happened because “PANIC … Is God’s Secret Weapon!”

A-pplication:

What is it that is holding you back from possessing your victory? When Zechariah refers to God in His prophesy, the MESSAGE version of the Bible uses the line “the God-of the-Angel-Armies”! I love that picture of our wonderful Lord. Too often we limit Him to the level of our own limitations. We do that as if we’re dealing with a mere human like ourselves. But if “PANIC … Is  God’s Secret Weapon,” what else does He have in His arsenal? Forget chemical weapons, bombs, and AK47s. Forget knives, hand grenades, and autonomous military drones. If “PANIC” sent from God can cause an army of thousands to turn on itself, imagine what a DIVINE “What Was That” could cause. Let our great God work for YOU today. Remember, it’s not ALL on your shoulders. You’re a child of the King!

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

Thank You this AM that I’ve been reminded that You are the “God-of the-Angel-Armies!” I know You’ve got ME. Amen
