Nothing Is Too Hard For The Lord!

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Genesis 18:14a

Is anything too hard for the Lord?

O-bservation:

Three angels visited the tent of Abraham one day and told Abraham that a year from that time his wife Sarah would have a son. When she overheard it, she laughed. She was way past child bearing. The Lord spoke to Abraham and asked him why his wife had laughed. Then he asked Abraham, “Is anything too hard for the Lord?”

A-pplication:

If you know the story, of course Sarah had Isaac just as the Lord had promised. Sometimes we read these Bible stories from long ago and respond with a ho-hum. It’s too bad that it’s come to that. Stories like this miracle are given to remind us of the words of Jesus before He ascended into heaven. He promised His disciples (which includes you and me) “Greater things than these will you do!” Miracles in human eyes are the norm in God’s eyes. What we have a tendency to think is IMPOSSIBLE, God calls POSSIBLE. I believe the Lord wanted Abraham to think long and hard when He asked him, “Is anything too hard for the Lord?” He wanted Abraham to know that in order to become a great nation, he would have to unashamedly believe, with no hint of laughter, that “Nothing Is Too Hard For The Lord!”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

This AM, I promise that in no way will I ever laugh at Your promise. Whether it is a Logos Word I’ve read or a Rhema Word that You’ve spoken to my heart, I will always say, “Nothing Is Too Hard For The Lord!” Amen
