Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.
Remember that when the Apostle Paul began preaching it didn’t matter what ethnic background he was preaching in; it was all very dangerous. He eventually was executed in Rome. However, he let the people of Rome know going in that he was “Not Ashamed” of the Gospel.
It is absolutely imperative as “Followers of Jesus” that the same can be said of us. It’s not enough to be on the sidelines, simply cheering others on. You and I must be in the game itself. Whatever we’re faced with, we will promote the Good News. Anything less speaks of SHAME. Whether fear or doubt or inhibition or a lack of biblical understanding, in the end failure to be in the game speaks of SHAME. The point is the true believer will never keep his or her mouth or life shut to others, because when it comes to sharing their faith they are “Not Ashamed!”
Today, once again, I go forward with the Word of God in my heart to promote the Good News. I am “Not Ashamed!” Amen
