NO and NO Again

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Job 11:7

Can you fathom the mysteries of God? Can you probe the limits of the Almighty?

O-bservation:

While Job was in his deepest, darkest hour of despair, depression, and suffering, one of his friends named Zophar asked him if he could possibly fathom the mysteries of God or look deep to find any limitations of the Almighty.

A-pplication:

Whenever a story in the Bible asks someone else a question, I’ve always believed it’s a question for me to answer. As I pondered for two seconds this AM the question Zophar asked Job, I immediately answered “NO and NO Again!” Seriously, how can you possibly fathom the mysteries of God? How can you probe His limits when He has none? If I answer Zophar’s question with “Yes and No” or “No and Yes,” it immediately suggests that my God is totally understandable and has limits a million. In either case, my God is no longer OMNI anything. If that’s true, why wouldn’t I just go back to worshipping myself like I did before I was saved? I first followed Jesus because I could no longer count on myself to come through for me in the clutch. I have too many failures and limitations. My God has NONE. So I ask YOU. Is Jesus totally understandable and are you frustrated with His limits? I hope you answer, “NO and NO Again!”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

I bow before You this AM once again. Because You are UNLIMITED and past FINDING OUT! Help me because I’m not. AMEN
