Never Lost

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Psalm 139:7

Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?

O-bservation:

King David was a man after God’s own heart. There were times he begged God not to take His Holy Spirit away from him. Yet, David knew that the Spirit of the Most High was always with him. He knew that he was, “Never Lost.”

A-pplication:

I’ve heard people say, “Where can I go to get away?” They’re usually referring to their busy and all-encompassing schedule that they wish they could get relief from, even if just for a while. Here David lets us know that God is always on our trail. Never, never, never are we lost from His Presence. Oh it is true that we can abuse our relationship with the Lord, but never can we lose Him. Wherever we go, He’s already there, and He was with us on the way, and He’ll leave with us when we go. Even in our unfaithfulness it’s so comforting to know that our God is there.  You can almost see David shaking his head in disbelief that God is always there no matter what. He said, “Where can I go from Your Presence?” He knew it was impossible. He knew that he was “Never Lost” from God.

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

Thank You this AM that You are always with me. Even when I fail You, You’re still there. You still love me. Because of You my Lord, I am “Never Lost.” Amen
