Never, Lord. Please, Never!

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Ezekiel 21:24
Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: ‘Because you people have brought to mind your guilt by your open rebellion, revealing your sins in all that you do—because you have done this, you will be taken captive.
O-bservation:
This was God’s judgment on the rebelliousness of the people of Judah. They had broken every promise to God that they had made, and they had lied to Nebuchadnezzar, who most surely would take them captive very soon and did. God said, “Because of your lies and broken promises, you will surely be taken captive.”
A-pplication:
It is a known fact that the people of Judah were taken over by Nebuchadnezzar and held captive for 70 years under Babylonian rule. Their city of Jerusalem was turned to shambles, and only a small remnant was left to live amongst the rubble. Why? It happened simply because of their continual rebellion towards the Lord, who had given them everything. Their rebellion turned into their CAPTIVITY. Yet, even today, many folks who’ve been given everything they could possibly want by a loving God have become nothing more than a CAPTIVE to their own rebellious desires. These desires of the flesh turn strong men and women into nothing more than weak, broken, hungry, and destitute CAPTIVES. When I think of what could happen if not wholly yielded to Jesus, my immediate response is, “Never, Lord. Please Never!”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
This AM, it is in my heart to stay completely yielded to you. I don’t want to ever be held CAPTIVE to my fleshly desires. Help me stay wholly given over to You, my one and only Lord. Amen
