My Morning Song

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Psalm 59:16

But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble.

O-bservation:

In the midst of King David’s constant concern about the enemies he was facing, he said that he would sing of God’s Strength and Love every morning.

A-pplication:

What is your focus? I’m constantly asking myself that question. I’m facing challenges on a continual basis. So … in those times and right now, what is my focus? King David said he would wake up in the morning and focus, by way of singing about the Lord’s STRENGTH and LOVE. It’s hard to be worried or upset when you’re singing about Jesus’ great Love and Strength. If anything, the very act alone brings comfort, joy, and peace. Whatever you do, don’t let the day get away from you. Start by making Jesus “My Morning Song.”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

I’m thinking about that old song this AM, “I could sing of the mercies of the Lord forever.” I really mean it. You are “My Morning Song!” Amen

  1. I think today’s devotion is a helper. Singing to the Lord prepares us for victory at the beginning of each day.
