Make Sure You KNOW What Time It Is
S. O. A. P.
Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Romans 13:11
And do this, understanding the present time: The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed.
O-bservation:
St. Paul laid out the very best definition of grace and how it was meant to cover the old covenant with the Lord’s New Testament throughout his letter to the Roman believers. Now he stressed the Lord’s soon return by saying that their salvation was nearer than when they had first believed. His main point is this, “Make Sure You KNOW What Time It Is!”
A-pplication:
Many would argue that Paul was way off on his continual promotion of the Lord’s SOON return. Remember, he wrote these warnings over two thousand years ago. But to be honest, in each generation, all any of us Christians have to go on are the words of our Lord and Savior, who simply said, “Be ready, for in such an hour that you don’t think it will happen, the Lord will return.” True believers determine in their hearts every day that they will live ready! Part of living ready is keeping one’s eye on the clock. You may ask, “What does that mean?” Well, it means what the Apostle said here in this passage, we’re much closer to the Lord’s return than we were when we first believed. The signs of the time, as mentioned in Holy Scripture concerning the Lord’s return, have mostly all come to pass! That’s why it’s important as you leave for work this AM to “Make Sure You KNOW What Time It Is.”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
Because I know what time it is, I will do everything in my power to make this day count for You, and for others, I come in contact with all day long. Amen
