Love The Weak

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Romans 14:1

Accept the one whose faith is weak, without quarreling over disputable matters.

O-bservation:

The Apostle Paul, throughout history, has often been called “The Great Apostle.” He wrote 13 of the 27 books in the New Testament and was the Lord’s original church planter. Here, he says when you’re dealing with WEAK (having to do with their newfound faith) believers, just accept them. Don’t quarrel over things that have NOT been established as factual. In other words, “Love The Weak.”

A-pplication:

People are hurting in my beloved nation like I’ve never seen in over six decades of living. I have seen many grow deep roots in Jesus during our more than twenty years of pastoral service here in Miami, Florida. Yet others have languished in multiple categories of their lives, including their faith. It’s not that they’re weak only in faith, they’re just WEAK period. St. Paul, who was tough and the greatest Christian Apologist in history, does not go after them! Instead, he said to just “Love The Weak.” Doesn’t this sound so much like Jesus? When Paul said in this passage, “Accept the one whose faith is WEAK,” I thought of so many Jesus lines, not the least of which is, “Neither do I condemn thee, go and sin no more.” This has been a riotous week of misery for America. So in a very peaceful and caring way, “Love The Weak.”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

I need You. We all need You. That includes the STRONG and the WEAK. I don’t want to be on the wrong side of this directive. That’s why I’m asking you this AM to help me, “Love The Weak.” Amen
