Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
Have I now become your enemy by telling you the truth?
St. Paul asked the people at the church in Galatia if he was now their enemy because he was telling them the truth. The early church there had strayed from the message of Grace, and was being enticed back into the law by Jews who would not embrace the Grace of God but still believed salvation was won by works.
Here was a group of people who had come out of the Mosaic law to follow Christ and were returning back to their old practices. Paul approached them as a father would approach his own children. Certainly he wanted to woo them back to what he had originally taught them. Since they were confused about the whole issue, Paul found himself on the outside of the very church he had begun. They were running from the truth he had originally given them. The principle in this story works in any category of life. “Love The Truth Giver!” Never be swayed by what is popular. Sometimes things are popular because they’re new. TRUTH is never new unless you’ve never experienced the truth. When you embrace the Truth, there is a peace that floods your soul. Even if it puts you at odds with those around you, the peace you feel is worth it all. “Love The Truth Giver!”
When I met You, I met the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Because of the Truth, I always have peace. Amen
