Lord, Please, I Need You Now!
S. O. A. P.
Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Psalm 143:1
Lord, hear my prayer, listen to my cry for mercy; in your faithfulness and righteousness come to my relief.
O-bservation:
King David asked God to hear his cry for mercy. He said, “In your faithfulness and righteousness, Lord, Please, I Need You Now!”
A-pplication:
Whenever I read the one hundred and forty-third Psalm, the first thing I say is always, “Lord, Please, I Need You Now!” Seriously, I don’t care how lousy life gets or how fantastic life can be when I think of Jesus. I’m ALWAYS in need. When Jesus is part of the equation, I never have enough of Jesus. It appears to me that as a child of God, I’m always under the gun by the devil for something. I’m always running from something and into the loving arms of my Savior. Often, I feel the enemy nipping at my heels, and then, just before I reach the arms of Jesus, with one final plunge, I yell, “Lord, Please, I Need You Now!” And then, in an instant, I’m safe. Who do you run to? What are you yelling all the way to whoever it is you run to? I’m sure you’re probably like me. You’re running to and yelling to the blessed Savior of the world these same words, “Lord, Please, I Need You Now!”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
I need You now more than I did yesterday, or last month, or last year, or last decade. You are my ever-present help in time of trouble. But You are also my ever-present help when I’m not in trouble. “Lord, Please, I Need You Now!” Amen

Oh what a blessing! I’m reading this after I received news that one of my nieces took her own life. She had been depressed for a long time. We all loved her dearly. So to have this SOAP today is so timely. Pastor Rich, you sent me a message straight from the Throne of God, because I truly need Jesus now, more than ever.
Thank you and God bless you.
