Last But Certainly Not Least!

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Ephesians 6:10

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.

O-bservation:

In this wonderful letter to the church at Ephesus, Paul breaks it into two parts. The first three chapters he establishes the fact that the church is a community within the community. It is a community that has been established by the grace of Jesus. The last part of this book says that this church community must be visible within our own individual households. Then he says we are to stand STRONG in the power of Jesus’ MIGHT!

A-pplication:

For many, many years I have proclaimed the power of the grace of our Lord that is proclaimed in the book of Ephesians. Indeed, it is by grace we have been saved through faith. It’s not because of anything we have personally done, but only by God’s grace that He saved us, just in case we decide to get a big head about it. That grace helps us love within the confines of our own homes. But, when you read it and then apply it, sometimes it feels like it’s a never-ending daily challenge. That’s why the Apostle states it as he does (as I see it), “Last But Certainly Not Least, STAND STRONG IN THE POWER OF JESUS MIGHT! Did you get that? Just STAND STRONG!”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

With Your help, I will stand strong in Your mighty power again today! Amen
