Keep The MAIN Thing The MAIN Thing

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Psalm 99:5

Exalt the Lord our God and worship at his footstool; he is holy.

O-bservation:

Here is perhaps one of the most famous kings who ever lived, King David. And some would argue that he was the greatest. In all of his pomp and splendor, he said that the MAIN thing in life is to “Exalt the Lord our God and worship at His footstool; He is holy.”

A-pplication:

King David was a man of action. He was a strategist and a brilliant and courageous warrior. His men fought hard, even to death if need be, because they watched him fight hard. He helped them become successful because they watched him be successful. He was prosperous; they watched him be prosperous and they too became prosperous. David didn’t give idle commands with nothing to back it up. He personally backed the command up with his own actions. Certainly when he told his people to, “Exalt the Lord our God and worship at His footstool; He is holy,” it’s because they had seen their King do what he was telling them to do. To King David, worshipping the Almighty was the MAIN thing in his life. He commanded his own people to do the same. In thousands of years nothing has changed. Go with King David. “Keep The MAIN Thing, The MAIN Thing!”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

As I prepare to leave for another day of service, I commit, with Your help, to “Keep The MAIN Thing, The MAIN Thing.” Amen
