Just Be WILLING

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

1 Samuel 17:32

David said to Saul, “Let no one lose heart on account of this Philistine; your servant will go and fight him.”

O-bservation:

At the time of this story, David had been anointed as the future king by Samuel, but no one knew it except his family. He wasn’t even in the Israeli army. He had gone to supply his brothers with food while they were at war with the Philistines. When he got there, he found that there was no war. The army of Israel was sitting in fear of Goliath the giant, who had dared the army of the Lord to send out a warrior to fight him. No one was willing. But when David got there he said, “I’ll fight him!”

A-pplication:

You may already know the end of the story. David did fight Goliath and he killed him with his slingshot. It happened because the young man was “WILLING!” So much of what happens in a positive way in your life and mine happens because we are willing to go the extra mile. It will take an extra effort, it will take added faith, and sometimes it takes more GUTS! But in the end, if you’re willing to look at the Lord and say, “I’m Willing,” great things can happen. Today, when you feel the pressure mounting, or someone is asking someone to go the extra mile for them, why not step forward? In other words, “Just Be WILLING!”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

I don’t really know what You have in store for me today, but I want You to know ”I Am WILLING!” Amen
