Jesus Has Already Been There

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Hebrews 12:3
Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.
O-bservation:
The author of the letter to the Hebrews, the Jewish people living in the city of Jerusalem, was encouraging his fellow believers to lay aside every weight of sin and temptation possible and instead fix their eyes on Jesus. Only by running toward the Lord will any of us be able to conquer. The reason for this is because He has already faced every possible attack from unbelievers and been victorious. With His help, we too can overcome.
A-pplication:
I know that whenever I’m under incredible temptation I can look to Jesus as my helper, because “Jesus Has Already Been There.” Since Jesus has faced every attack of the evil one and overcome those attacks, I at least have the power to run to Jesus. This is important to know, because many folks believe they have to face temptation all by themselves. But that’s not true. There’s a song that says, “This is how I Fight My Battles.” In The middle of the song it says, “It may look like I’m surrounded, but I’m surrounded by YOU!” Of course “YOU” is speaking of Jesus. He has already gone before us. Let Jesus help you fight each battle of temptation. You’re not alone! You’re being watched by all of heaven. All of heaven stands by to assist you today. Whatever you are going through, engage heaven now. Because “Jesus Has Already Been There!”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
Thank You that whatever I’m faced with I can be assured You have already experienced my temptation and You have already conquered it. I want to conquer it like You did. I’m asking You to fight my battle today. Amen
