Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
No, the word is very near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart so you may obey it.
As Moses was coming to the end of his life, he prophesied to the people of Israel that what God was asking them to do as a people and as a nation was not too difficult for them to accomplish. He said it’s not too far from you; in fact, “It’s In Your Mouth.”
Not only did God say it’s “In Your Mouth,” but He also said it’s “In Your Heart.” Jesus said, “Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks” (Mt. 12:34b). What is being said here? Well, I believe Moses was telling his people that they had in every situation the opportunity to prophesy victory over their future. Someone once said your first thought as a believer is from the Lord, your second thought is from the enemy, and your third thought is for you to figure out who you’re going to listen to. Everything the Israelites wanted as they approached the Promised Land was in that Promised Land, but the second thought was, “it’s impossible.” The truth is that your future is in your heart and “In Your Mouth.” You have to speak positively about where you want to go. Nothing God tells you is too hard for you because He is with you to help you accomplish it. The question is, “Are YOU with YOU?” What will you believe in your heart today? Because I promise you, “It’s In Your Mouth.”
With Your help today, I will speak life and victory and hope to my future out of my mouth! I know the victory You have for me is in my heart and “In My Mouth!” Amen
