Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt.
Here Gabriel speaks to Daniel of the coming end. I will not go into the myriads of biblical directives concerning the end and which end this is. Let us agree that this verse is referring to the “Everlasting Life” for those who have lived for Jesus and everlasting darkness for those who have refused Him.
I believe that everyone on this planet has some opportunity to respond to Jesus. For some who live here in the west, we have access to the Lord twenty-four seven. In other parts of the world, not so much, and still some have never heard. Yet I believe everyone gets some degree of heavenly light. It is how we receive that light that we will be given more light and, in time, a complete revelation of Jesus. I’ve heard stories of men and women being saved who had no human witness of Jesus but just kept seeking God, and in time a revelation of Jesus came (Jer. 29:13-14). Based on our response to the Lord, we will be raised one day to “Everlasting Life” or everlasting darkness. What about you? “I’m Going For Everlasting Life!”
This whole idea of eternity is daunting. Not because I have any doubts about my “Everlasting Life,” but just because I’ve never been on the other side of death before. But I know You are, and because of that, I’m ready to see You face to face. Amen
