Here’s God’s Word For You And Me Today And Every Day

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

2 Chronicles 15:7

But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.

O-bservation:

These were the words of the prophet Azariah to King Asa of Judah. Asa, the scripture says, did what was right in the eyes of the Lord. When he heard these words from the prophet, he moved to bring great spiritual reform to his nation of Judah. He ruled a long time, but toward the end of his leadership, he relied on unholy alliances to secure peace in Judah instead of the Lord.

A-pplication:

Isn’t that just like so many stories you and I hear today? Think about it. God does a mighty work in a young person’s life, and they literally commit their entire being to the Lord. Jesus blesses them immeasurably, and then as they age, they begin to depend on others to secure their easy and peaceful way of living. It matters not if they align themselves with unbelievers. In time they turn from the Lord and end up in a world God never intended for them to live in. Let’s leave the scriptural context and talk about you and me. “Here’s God’s Word For You And Me Today And Every Day.” BE STRONG AND DO NOT GIVE UP, FOR YOUR WORK WILL BE REWARDED!

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

It is my desire as I read Your word this AM. I want to toughen up. I need to be stronger. With Your help, I don’t ever want to give up seeking Your will and Your provision! I’m looking for YOUR reward and not man’s. Help me, I pray. Amen
