Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
2 Corinthians 1:9
Indeed, we felt we had received the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead.
St. Paul, in his second letter to the church at Corinth, related instances in his life lived for Christ that brought about his memories of near-death experiences. All one has to do is move forward in this letter to chapter eleven, and you will find the many times Paul faced death in his promotion of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Paul said that it taught them to rely on God, who raises the dead!
When you serve “THE” God who raises the dead, it changes everything. Notice I said “THE” God, not “A” god. There’s only ONE true and wise God who can raise the dead. Here’s the deal, if He did it before, “He’ll Do It Again!” There are different mindsets of salvation. Usually, when we use the word salvation, we’re talking about salvation through Jesus Christ from sin and eternal life in heaven. But Paul wasn’t talking about that kind of salvation here. He was speaking about the many different ways the Lord had saved him from death itself. Maybe you have been experiencing attacks like never before in your life. Perhaps you’ve wondered if you’d make it another day. Remember, you serve “The” God who raises the dead. He has saved you from so many tough situations in the past, and there’s no doubt, “He’ll Do It Again!”
I serve You with my whole heart because I remember, this AM, ALL the many times you have saved me from death itself! There no doubt in my mind, “You Will Do It Again!” Amen
