Heart And Soul
S. O. A. P.
Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
1 Samuel 14:7
“Do all that you have in mind,” his armor-bearer said. “Go ahead; I am with you heart and soul.”
O-bservation:
These were the words of Jonathon’s armor-bearer when Jonathon asked him to join him in an all but impossible mission to save Israel. As soon as his armor-bearer heard the mission and its unlikely potential success, instead of scoffing at the idea the armor-bearer said with emphasis to Jonathon that they should do it and he was with him, “Heart And Soul!”
A-pplication:
In this famous statement by an unnamed man who is only known as an armor-bearer, these two words, “Heart and Soul,” could be referred to as “Core and Guts!” The armor-bearer was saying that there were no reservations in him that would cause him to hold anything back from following his friend into death if that’s what it meant. He was passionate about following his leader. “Heart and Soul” is what has built the greatest companies in the world for hundreds of years. “Heart and Soul” is what builds great families. “Heart and Soul” has been and always will be what it takes to move the mission of Jesus on earth forward. No matter what it means in your life today, join me in saying to the Lord, “Jesus, I’m with You, Heart and Soul.”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
This AM I will quickly repeat myself and say it again, I’m with You, Heart and Soul. Amen
