Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.
As John the Beloved closes out the book of the Revelation, he says the One who is making this book His personal testimony (that would be Jesus) says, “Yes, I am coming soon!” Then John says, “Amen (as if to say I AGREE). Come, Lord Jesus!”
It’s difficult for me to recount the scores and scores of times I have read the book of the Revelation. As a young teenage youth pastor in Texas, it was the first book I taught on Sunday mornings in youth class. Kids would sit there with their mouths open. But then sometimes you read the book and something fresh appears. This time for me, over the last few days, it’s the times Jesus said, “I am coming soon.” And here It is again. “He Still Said It At The End Of The Book!” What more does He have to do? Seriously, it’s not a matter of, “Well I’ve heard that before, but still no Jesus.” No. These words, “I’m Coming Soon,” should cause us to live and talk differently. There must be an urgency in our work for the Lord, and our passion for the Lord must be what it was the first time He changed us and saved us! If He Still Said It At The End Of The Book, we ought to say it to someone a couple of times a day. “Jesus Is Coming Soon!”
I’m ready to ramp up my game to get people to the throne of God. I know You’re coming soon, and I want to take all my friends with me to meet You when You return. Amen
