He Saves The NEEDY

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Psalm 109:31

For he stands at the right hand of the needy, to save their lives from those who would condemn them.

O-bservation:

Here the Psalmist praises our great God because He is the one true loving Savior who stands at the right hand of the neediest. When those who would condemn the downtrodden arrive, “He Saves The NEEDY.”

A-pplication:

I love this picture of our wonderful and loving Savior. The Psalmist paints a picture of a courtroom scene, with a poor and needy, overwhelmed lost soul standing ready to be condemned to an unwanted and unjust sentence. Standing at the broken person’s right hand is Jesus, our high priest, our mediator, our lawyer, our big brother, our Savior. As the prosecutor arrives, the lawyer steps in to shield and save the condemned. The truth is, if you will look a little closer, the condemned is YOU and it is ME. Isn’t it amazing how when we read the scripture and come across the broken or the needy or the condemned we never insert our own name there. At least I don’t. But we really are that person. Whether we ever want to admit it or not, we stood condemned until Jesus stepped in to shield and save us. I’m so thankful this AM that “He Saves The NEEDY!”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

I NEED YOU again today! Please save me! Amen
