He Brought Me Out
S. O. A. P.
Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Psalm 18:19
He brought me out into a spacious place; he rescued me because he delighted in me.
O-bservation:
King David of Israel had been overwhelmed by his enemies to the point that he felt hemmed in by them. He said he had come to what he called his “day of disaster” when they confronted him. However, that’s when the Lord supported him. David said about God, “He Brought Me Out” into a SPACIOUS PLACE because the Lord delighted in him.
A-pplication:
Have you ever felt hemmed in? I know I have. There have been times in my life where I felt like I had more bills than income. There were times in my life that I wondered if I had more trouble than God could handle. There were times when I went into surgery, not knowing if I’d come out alive. In each of these times, I definitely felt as though I was hemmed in by enemies bigger than me. Perhaps you’re feeling that way this AM. Don’t for a second get to wondering if you’re so hemmed in that you’ll never get out. I want you to know that, just like David, God has a spacious place waiting on the other side of your challenge. “He Brought Me Out” more times than I could ever count. He’ll do the same for you. Believe this word, this AM!
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
Usually, I say a personal prayer at this point. But there have been a couple of times through the years that I pray for the person at the other end of this devotional. Bring them out today, I pray, in Jesus name! Amen
