Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
In visions of God he took me to the land of Israel and set me on a very high mountain, on whose south side were some buildings that looked like a city.
Towards the end of Ezekiel’s prophesies, the Lord took him to the top of a mountain back in the land of Israel. At this time Ezekiel was being held captive in Babylon, and most likely the temple had already been destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar. All of the Israelites now living in Babylon were discouraged and missing home. God, on this occasion, showed Ezekiel the temple restored in this vision. He wanted the prophet to know that “God Is Preparing A Place For Us.”
While here on this earth, Jesus reminded His disciples that He was going back to heaven to prepare a place for us (John 14:1-4). He also said that He would come back and get us at the proper time. Just like the Lord did for the prophet Ezekiel in the Old Testament when he took him in a vision to a high mountain, He also took John the Beloved to a high mountain to show him a vision of heaven in Revelation 21. It’s important that you and I remember that God Always Has A Plan! You may feel as though things seem out of control, whether in your personal world or the world in general. But never forget, God isn’t out of control. He has everything under control, and remember this AM “God Is Preparing A Place For Us!”
I’m so grateful this AM that You have a plan and You are in complete control. Help me remember that since my Heavenly Father operates that way, I can too. Amen
