Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
Here, the Apostle Paul wrote to the Ephesian Church and reminded them that they were created to do good works for God, and that this had already been planned for them beforehand.
Through the years I’ve had such a great number of diverse people come to me and say, “I just don’t know what I should do with my life.” The people who come to me have not always consulted in prayer with the Lord about what they should do. I’m speaking of the same Lord who said in Jeremiah 33:3, “Call to me and I will answer you, and show you great things that you don’t even know about” (my paraphrase). The great things I believe the Lord is speaking of in this verse have to do with the purpose that each one of us was created for. I remember as a young man, when I felt like I definitely knew why I had been put on this planet. I was so excited I could hardly sleep at night. Because, when people really know their purpose, they have a built-in comforter (the Holy Spirit) who smooths the rough places out and motivates them to move forward and not give up. If you’re one of those folks who’s still trying to figure it all out, let me remind you, “God Has A Plan For Your Life!”
I’m thankful this AM, that before the foundations of the world were formed You had me already on the drawing board and had a plan for my life. What I’m so grateful for is that I discovered that plan as a young man. I’m still excited! Amen
