Go Somewhere Else

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Matthew 10:23
When you are persecuted in one place, flee to another. Truly I tell you, you will not finish going through the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes.
O-bservation:
This entire chapter contains Jesus’ marching orders to His disciples. Here He said, “If you run into resistance in the form of persecution, ‘Go Somewhere Else,’ because there’s so many people in other places that want to hear the Good News.”
A-pplication:
The truth is, none of us will reach the whole world for Christ on our watch. It’s just not going to happen. So, that being said, if you really run into intense resistance for a period of time from the people you’re trying to reach, “Go Somewhere Else.” There are so many people in the world who have never heard the Gospel, why continue to cast the pearls of the Good News before folks who just don’t want it? There are plenty more out there. I’ve even met pastors who are astonished at the incredible success they’re having in a certain place in a relatively short period of time, when just a few years earlier they were run out of a town by people who had said they loved them. Rejection in one place doesn’t mean you will be rejected in another place. People need Jesus in every city of the world. Stop beating your head against the wall, “Go Somewhere Else.”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
I’m so thankful for the direction of the Holy Spirit in my life through the years. Thank you that every time I felt like the brook was drying up where I was, you opened the door to Somewhere Else. I’m here now looking back, and all I can say is thank you! Amen
