Give God The Finest

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Leviticus 2:1a
When anyone brings a grain offering to the Lord, their offering is to be of the finest flour.
O-bservation:
When the Lord met with Moses to detail the offerings that were required from the people of Israel, the people were commanded to “Give God The Finest.” This passage of scripture mentioned what the grain offering was to consist of. The Lord said that it was to consist of the “FINEST FLOUR.”
A-pplication:
In the first chapter of this book, the Lord talked about The Burnt Offering. In order to make the offering complete and honorable in God’s presence, the burnt offering required a male goat be sacrificed on the altar. The male goat had to be “without defect.” In the third chapter, the Fellowship Offering demanded an animal “without defect” be slaughtered and offered on the altar. Chapter four details the “Sin Offering.” That offering required a young male bull “without defect” be offered to atone for the sin of that individual. One can quickly see a pattern developing, and the pattern is that of God wanting one’s FINEST. Sin has to do with turning away from God’s instructions through disobedience. To slap the living, loving God of the universe in the face required a man or woman to “Give God The Finest” offering possible. Whatever lies in your future, determine today that second-class giving to the living God of all creation is just not good enough. Today, “Give God The Finest!”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
This AM I’m beginning by giving You the greatest gift I can offer You. That would be ME, flaws and all! Amen
