Don’t Ever Wonder Where God Is

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Psalm 47:8

God reigns over the nations; God is seated on his holy throne.

O-bservation:

The writer of this Psalm tells us that God is completely in control at all times. And, if anyone should ever wonder where He is exactly, the Psalmist tells us, “He is seated on His holy throne.”

A-pplication:

I remember as a younger man watching the TV show “Star Trek.” Whenever Captain Kirk was seated on his chair of authority, all seemed well. There was no doubt “Who” was in charge, and everyone had the feeling that whatever trouble came, Captain Kirk had it all figured out. I’m not sure if you’ve seen that Captain Kirk lately, but if you have, you’re pretty sure not much is worked out at all. Thank God we have the all-knowing, all-powerful, all-everywhere at the same time Creator of the Universe as our Captain. He never worries, and He never frets. He never sleeps and he never even slumbers! He knows what’s happening everywhere at the same time and what will happen a hundred years from now. Our God has no limitations. He’s not scared of anything and He’s not worrying about anything either. He knows exactly where you and I are, and where everyone else on the planet is right this second. He’s in control. So “Don’t Ever Wonder Where God Is.” He’s on His throne right now in total authority, and He cares all about YOU!

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

I thank You that You’re on Your throne watching over us all right this very minute! I’m so thankful that nothing surprises You ever, and that when trouble arises in my life You know exactly what I should do. Thank You Lord! Amen
