Do You Need A Dad?

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Psalm 10:14

But you, God, see the trouble of the afflicted; you consider their grief and take it in hand. The victims commit themselves to you; you are the helper of the fatherless.

O-bservation:

King David, while praying to his Heavenly Father, reminded himself in prayer of how caring God is. He said to the Lord, “You see how the afflicted are troubled and You never forget them. You are the Helper of the Fatherless!”

A-pplication:

I have a number of wonderful people who read this post every AM. In my heart, I know I’m talking to a few folks who are missing someone this AM. “Do You Need A Dad?” Our great God is many things to us in times of need. He is our provider, our healer, our comforter, our deliverer, our shepherd, and our strong tower. But to many who are in this situation, He is a Father to the Fatherless. Even if you are not fatherless, He is still a loving Father who misses NOTHING in your life or mine. He sees it all, knows it all, and loves in spite of it all. “Do You Need A Dad?” Because if you need a dad, all I can say is He’s a good, good Father.

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

Thank you this AM that You see my need and You meet my need. That’s all I’ve ever known you to be. Thank You, Dad. Amen
