Do You Love Kids?

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Mark 10:16

And he took the children in his arms, placed his hands on them and blessed them.

O-bservation:

In this same story, children wanting to come to Jesus had been rebuked by Jesus’ disciples. When He heard about it, He stopped the rebuking and reminded all who were listening that it required childlike faith to enter the kingdom of heaven. Then Jesus took the kids in His arms and placed His hands in them and blessed them. He really loved kids!

A-pplication:

“Do You Love Kids?” That’s a simple question, but the answer will tell you how much like Jesus you and I really are. The Bible says, “Believe on the Lord Jesus and you will be saved” (Acts 16:31a). No one believes better than children. They have such a clear conscience that believing and having faith comes naturally. Jesus wants believing and having faith to come naturally for all ages. But then He qualified the way for it to happen. He said, “You gotta get into the mind and heart of a little kid in order to believe and have faith like that of a child.” How can you and I do that unless we love them? If we don’t approach the Kingdom that way, we’ll never enter it. So let me ask it again. “Do You Love Kids?”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

I believe I really love children like You taught me to. I’m still working on childlike faith. Help me not to reason my potential miracles away. Help me instead to just say I believe! Amen
