Check Who’s Building The Place

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Psalm 127:1
Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain.
O-bservation:
Here the Psalmist makes it very clear that unless the Lord is building your family, you’re wasting your time. The same goes for whoever thinks they are building and watching over a city. If it isn’t the Lord, they’re wasting their time as well.
A-pplication:
Whenever I faced real challenge as a younger father, and certainly now, I have always stopped and reminded myself to “Check On Who’s Building The Place!” It is always the devil’s desire to fill our heads with a “Look what I did” mentality when it comes to success in any field. But the truth is it’s only because of the blessing of the Lord in our lives that we have any chance of winning at all. When it comes to building a strong family (house), Jesus must be Lord of that house. Jesus must have first say in the architecture and contracting of that building altogether, or it will in time suffer collapse. Whatever you have to do, make sure Jesus is your builder. If He’s not, change builders now. If you’re not sure, stop right now and “Check Who’s Building The Place!”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
I thank You that You have been my builder since we first started building our house. You haven’t just served us well, instead You’ve always been our MASTER BUILDER! Amen
