Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go! Let it be done just as you believed it would.” And his servant was healed at that moment.
This is the story of a Roman centurion who came and asked Jesus to heal his paralyzed servant who was suffering at home. Jesus asked the centurion if he wanted Him to come with him. The man said, “No, just speak the word and it will be done.” Jesus was amazed at the man’s faith. He told him to just “Believe, And It Will Be Yours.” And The servant was healed in that moment.
This story reminds me of the time Jesus told his followers, “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there, and it will move.’ Nothing will be impossible for you” (Matt. 17:20b). Faith and believing in God’s economy are one and the same. Whenever I’m in an impossible situation, I say to myself, “Rich believe, believe, believe!” Doubt, fear, and unbelief are threats to any child of God. In this scripture, we see that the man who came to Jesus was not a Jewish person, but he thoroughly believed in the power of Jesus to heal his servant. Jesus proves that believing is everything when you’re up against an impossibility. The man’s faith was so intense that Jesus said he’d never seen anything like it in all of Israel. Today, whatever you’re up against, just “Believe And It Will Be Yours.”
You know what I’m up against this AM. As always, I’m believing! I’m believing in You to make a miracle so that everyone, once again will ask, “How Did That Happen?” Amen
