Before I Even Speak

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Psalm 139:4

Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely.

O-bservation:

King David was one of the most brilliant people in history. His ability to think and act strategically was and probably is unparalleled. His poetry and psalm was as good as any ever written. David really was a man for all time. Yet even he was utterly amazed by the God he served. He said what we all know … “Before I Even Speak” You already know completely what I’m thinking.

A-pplication:

When you consider the quality of brilliance David possessed, it’s so refreshing to see him stymied and overwhelmed by his great God. Anytime you enter an argument with another individual concerning the existence or validity of our Lord, remember that people who have gone before us had the same questions. King David, who was surrounded by such scholarship at that time in history, had no doubt that God was there and He was not silent. The very fact that God knew every detail of the thought that was being assimilated in David’s brain before he spoke was shocking to David, and it made him believe even MORE. Don’t let anyone ever cause you to question our great God. You may wonder why I would say that, but I can never forget the King’s word … “Before I Even Speak,” God knows already!

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

When I think of You and ponder Your greatness this AM, I am simply amazed by You! To think that “Before I Even Speak” You know what I’m thinking, leaves me awestruck. Amen

  2. Amen and Amen this reminds me of Matthew 6:8 God Knows everything we need before we ask, but another scripture says ask it shall be given to you. Blessings to you Pastor Rich, to you and your family and also Congratulations to additions.
