Always Winning

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

1 Thessalonians 2:1

You know, brothers and sisters, that our visit to you was not without results.

O-bservation:

St. Paul, in writing to the church at Thessalonica, had to deal with the problems they were having as it related to their work ethic. They so believed that Jesus was coming momentarily, that many had quit their jobs to wait for His return. Paul said to them that the one who doesn’t work wouldn’t eat. But here he made it clear to them that when he was there to meet with them, it wasn’t a failure. He was affirming to them that they needed to hear what he had to say.

A-pplication:

St. Paul, in these few words I just referenced, was letting all of us who follow Jesus know that we are “Always Winning.” There are no irreversible mistakes for the true man or woman of God, because the scripture says, “The steps of a good man are ordered of the Lord: and he delighteth in His way (Ps. 37:23 KJV). Paul also said in 2 Cor. 2:14a, “But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ.” What was Paul saying? He was letting all true believers know, and also telling us never to forget, that we in Jesus are “Always Winning!” Whatever you have to do today, make sure you leave your house or apartment with your chin up and your shoulders back, because you, my dear friend, are “Always Winning!”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

This AM, I will leave my house with my chin up and my shoulders back because I am a child of the most high God, and because of that, I am “Always Winning!” Amen
