A SERVANT Of The Lord
S. O. A. P.
Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Jeremiah 25:9a
I will summon all the peoples of the north and my servant Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon,” declares the Lord, “and I will bring them against this land and its inhabitants and against all the surrounding nations.
O-bservation:
These were the words of God Almighty through the lips of His prophet Jeremiah. In this prophecy, the Lord God said He was going to use “HIS SERVANT,” King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon, to destroy His people and crush the city of Jerusalem. This, in time, happened and the people of Judah were led captive into Babylon for 70 years.
A-pplication:
Perhaps you’ve never thought about this scripture before. The Lord calls the wicked King Nebuchadnezzar His Servant. Before we go any farther in this short devo, I want to go on record to say that I believe Nebuchadnezzar is in heaven (Read Daniel 4:34,35). But at the time of this prophecy, before it all happened, Nebuchadnezzar appeared to be against the Lord our God. When God called Nebuchadnezzar “His Servant,” He did so because He is God and God alone. Thus ALL leaders on the planet, past and present, serve the purposes of the Lord our God. Never think that for some reason our God has been surprised by the action of any certain leader. Our God has everything under control. He knows all things knowable and is surprised by NOTHING. So today I am blessed to say that I am, “A SERVANT of The Lord.”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
I’m grateful, blessed, and favored to be Your Servant. It is the highest calling that has been afforded me. Only with Your help can I fulfill the calling of “Servant” You have placed on my life. Amen

I thank the Lord, Jesus Christ, for being the servant! Just as the middle candle of the Menorah is called the “ Shamos” and is used to light up all the others candles, Christ , our Shamos, came to give the light of the Holy Spirit to all who will believe!
