A Person Of Prayer

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Psalm 109:4

In return for my friendship they accuse me, but I am a man of prayer.

O-bservation:

King David was praying to the Lord for help. Indeed, he was desperate. As much as he had tried to befriend his adversaries, they continued their attack. “BUT” David said, “I Am A Man Of Prayer!”

A-pplication:

This one line is probably what made David the greatest King of all time in many people’s opinion. Yes, he was a great warrior. Yes, he was a dynamic leader. Yes, he was a brilliant strategist. BUT, more than anything he was a “Man Of Prayer!” It was his prayer life and constant dependency upon the Lord that separated David from the rest of the “King Pack.” I really don’t think much has changed. I mean certainly we’re not fighting wars with spears much anymore, and rarely do Kings ever even physically fight on planet earth anymore. However, any man or woman can be “A Person Of Prayer.” And when that happens Jesus will line up with them and still fight their battles for them.

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

More than anything this AM, I want to be “A Person Of Prayer.” I know You will fight for me when I commune with You. Amen
