The Goal Is Always Love

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

1 Timothy 1:5

The goal of this command is love, which comes from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.

O-bservation:

The backdrop to this passage is that certain false teachers were presenting doctrines that did not match up with the teachings Paul had given them at Ephesus. Paul reminded young Timothy, his Disciple there on location, to be strong and deliver the truth. He also reminded Timothy, “The Goal Is Always Love.”

A-pplication:

The call to righteousness is always tough because it goes against the “Modus Operandi” of society. The one who delivers the “Good News,” which leads to life, must be a person who practices what they preach. Their lifestyle must be accompanied by a “PURE HEART, a GOOD CONSCIENCE, and a SINCERE FAITH! All of these powerful attributes are fueled by REAL LOVE. The real love is for the Lord and for People. That’s always been the great commandment … Love God and Love People. When our Christian Faith emanates from a love for God and a love for people, it enables us to preach, teach, and live a holy life. In this present darkness, we are witnessing the enabling by satan himself of people to operate in a lifestyle which at one time in our recent history was called “DESPICABLE BEHAVIOR!” The word for All Believers is to hold fast to what you have believed and remember, “The Goal Is Always Love!”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

With Your help this AM, I will continue to preach and live Your UNCHANGING Word! Amen
